How to Schedule a Recital and Dress Rehearsal

Recitals and dress rehearsals may be scheduled more flexibly than in previous years.

Beckwith Recitals

Staffed Beckwith recitals must be scheduled on dates when the hall and appropriate staff are available.

Availability becomes particularly limited during high-use periods, especially in December and April.

Students planning spring recitals should begin planning and rehearsing early.

Dress Rehearsals

Dress rehearsals do not necessarily need to occur immediately before the recital or during designated recital days.

A dress rehearsal can occur whenever:

• The hall is available
• The performers are available
• Technical staffing is not required

When Technical Staff Are Needed

Dave and Zach should be present for dress rehearsals requiring technical support such as:

• Amplification
• Vocal microphones
• Projection
• Audio playback

Plan these rehearsals with appropriate lead time.

Alternative Venues

Students may consider other appropriate spaces when Beckwith is unavailable.

An unstaffed recital in another suitable location may provide greater scheduling flexibility.
